The Northwest Branch serves a growing community of over 25,000 population. We work closely with the two school districts; Calallan ISD and Tuloso-Midway ISD as well as serving Robstown and other communities in the northwest area of the county and in San Patricio County.

Ms Jean Meadors has been the Children's Librarian since 1988 and has regularly scheduled children's programs each month. Check the News & Events section for special times and dates. A Third Tuesday Book discussion group was formed in early 2000 and is open to anyone who would like to take part.

The Northwest book collection had over 54,000 items as of the beginning of September. The best circulating part of the collection is the nearly 1,000 Books-on-Tape. The Video Collection was boosted by a 1999 Texas Book Festival Grant for Classic Videos. There are over 833 adults videos, over 400 Large Print fiction books and more than 16,383 books in the Non-fiction section.
