Anita and W.T Neyland were generous community supporters. The $850,000 bequest spearheaded the recent remodel and expansion. The remodel included a new meeting room, improved bathroom facilities and modern fixtures, as well as, an updated look inside and out. Mary and Jeff Bell have been longtime supporters of children's libraries in Corpus Christi. Mary Bell was a longtime volunteer at the branch, reading to children for many years. Their generosity provided the new Children's furniture and expanded collection for the new addition.
