How To Use Your Library Account Online
With your library card number and PIN number you can view your account, renew books and change your contact information. Follow the instructions below for an easy way to access your account. The specifics of your account are automatically set up when you apply for your library card.
1. Go to our website at www.cclibraries.com
You can reach your account from our main page by typing www.cclibraries.com into the address bar of your web browser.
2. Click on the Library and My Account Login box
On our main page you will find a blue login box on the left column labeled "Library Catalog and My Account Login Here". Click anywhere on this box, which will take you to the online catalog. The catalog and online account are part of the same program, and you will be taken to the same page.
3. Login using your library card number and PIN
On the catalog/account main page, you will see the login area in the upper right corner. Enter your entire library card number into the "library card #" field, and your PIN number into the "PIN" field. Click the "Login to the e-Library OPAC" button. The login area will then be replaced by the message "Welcome (your name). You are logged into the Corpus Christi Public Libraries online catalog. When finished, please logout."
About your PIN: Your pin is automatically generated when you get your library card. It should be the last 4 digits of the phone number you used on the card application. If this number does not work or you don't know your PIN, please call the circulation department at 826-7010 or the nearest library branch.
4. View Your Account Options
Once logged in, you will see a horizontal navigation menu located in the upper center of the screen. Click on the "My Account" link (highlighted in yellow in the picture).
5. Review, Renew, Update
This is the control panel for your account. "Review my materials" allows you to view checkouts, alerts, and holds. "Renew my materials" is the most popular option, allowing you to both view and renew materials online. "User PIN change allows you to change your login PIN number, and "Change my Address" allows you to update your account contact information.
Logging out
When you log in to your account using the method above, you stay logged in until you either click the logout link or are inactive for a period of time.
